Beth is the first two-time winner of the student work of the week. Congrats on the incredible photograph.
I have had the chance to walk by the color – digital photography projects all week, and Beth’s caught my eye everytime; a clear sign that it is doing something right.
Greg created this image for an independent study class in digital photography. You know that a student is on to something when the resentment and jealousy from his / her classmates is easy to see during a critique.
It has been rewarding to watch this series develop. The way that Greg is letting the found image suggest the manipulation that he makes is adding a new layer of meaning and intrigue.
Sara blew me away with this simple, clean and effective redesign of the art department website. I just love white space.
I thought it might be interesting to add a student work of the week post to the blog to point out students who have excelled recently.
The very first student work of the week selection is “Reference Point” by Jarrod Walker (http://jarrod-walker.artapsu.com/nonlinear/nonlinear.html), created for ART 410V Special Topics: Internet Art. The assignment was to create an internet art piece that used a non-linear structure.
It is a hefty download, so be patient.
